Meeting 3rd
Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb
Hello…
In this third meeting, we will discuss about
Example:
- The past continuous and simple past. As well as department and role vocabulary.
Whats the meaning about "past continous" is??
The past continuous tense is used to express acts that started in the past and persisted for a short time after they began. This lesson explains the meaning of PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE and provides examples on its form/formation.
And Simple Past?
The simple past is a verb tense that is used to talk about things that happened or existed before now. Imagine someone asks what your brother Wolfgang did while he was in town last weekend.
Example :
- Wolfgang entered a hula hoop contest.
- He won the silver medal.
"talking about changes" used to, get used to, and be used to.
Used to is a verb we use to talk about something that happened in the past that doesn’t happen anymore. We always use it in the past tense.
Be/get used to is an adjective that means we are so familiar with something that is seems normal or usual. Just as with any adjective, we can use the verb be or get before it.
There are a few more subtle differences and common mistakes that we’re going to talk about today. We’ll talk about:
Used To: Usage and Structure
Be Used To and Get Used To: Usage and Structure
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Modal Verbs for Obligation
Certain modal verbs can be used to say that someone needs to di something.
- I ( have to, have got to, need to) leave this with You
- You don’t have to deal with this today
- You must complete this project by Monday.
- You must not go into the testing area.
Thank you…
